The lower impact on increasing temperature of surface and building frame as SP coating leads to heat release in atmosphere from energy-exchange material. As sunlight becomes weaker, the heat is rapidly released and makes the temperature become lower.

Example at a Schoolyard (Oshiage Elem. School, Tokyo)

Schoolyards in Tokyo Pref. are paved by asphalt. At Oshiage Elementary School, the green and brown parts of the schoolyard were painted by HEP.
On Sep. 15, 2008, this schoolyard was introduced as “the schoolyard where children can play barefoot ” with children’s cry of joy on TV.
A Certain Elem. School in Sumida Ward, Tokyo Pref. (Painted in July 2007)

This schoolyard in a certain elem. school was painted in Jul., 2007. Although most parts of the schoolyard were covered with rubber chips and painted with nice and cool blue-colored HSP, the surface temp. reached 55 ℃. The area in the upper right corner of the pictures was painted with HEP and maintained 40 – 45 ℃.
It’s impossible to play at this schoolyard barefoot. Moreover, exposed parts of children’s bodies such as limbs may reach more than 38 ℃, raising a concern of heat stroke. Reflected heat from reflective paint encourages to raise body temp.
